Welcome to my neighbourhood

Welcome to Barrio La Feria, David

Hello and welcome to my blog. I live in Barrio La Feria in the city of David, a normal and peaceful neighborhood where many families live and people know each other. Daily life here is usually calm, and most of the time the area is quiet and comfortable. One of the best things about living here is the location because many important places are nearby, making life easier for students, workers, and families. Very close to the neighborhood are places such as the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá, the Instituto David school, and the main regional hospital, so people can quickly access education, medical services, and transportation without traveling far.

Another important characteristic of Barrio La Feria is the large number of small businesses that help residents in their daily lives. There are many grocery stores, hardware stores, and especially Asian markets where people can buy food, vegetables, meats, imported products, and household items at good prices. These markets are very popular because families can find almost everything they need close to home. Hardware stores are also common in the area, allowing residents to easily buy materials to repair or improve their houses. Because everything is nearby, students and families can shop and solve daily needs quickly without leaving the neighborhood.

Most of the year the neighborhood remains quiet, but things change when March arrives because the famous Feria Internacional de David takes place nearby. During this time, many visitors come to the city, traffic increases, music plays loudly, and the area becomes crowded and noisy. Temporary businesses and food stands appear, and the neighborhood becomes full of activity. Some residents enjoy the excitement and festive atmosphere, while others miss the usual calm environment. Even with this busy season, Barrio La Feria continues to be a comfortable place to live, with friendly neighbors and easy access to services, stores, schools, and transportation.

Although it may seem like a simple neighborhood, for the people who live here it feels like home. It is a place where families grow, neighbors support each other, and daily life is practical because everything is close. This blog shares experiences and everyday life in Barrio La Feria, showing how an ordinary neighborhood can be special for the people who call it home.

  12. Barrio La Feria sounds like a very convenient place to live with the university, school, and hospital all nearby. It is interesting how the neighborhood changes during the Feria Internacional de David in March.
